Refresh 98SE install
If I run a virus scan on my Temporary Internet Files folder the scanner shows that it is scanning the missing folders. Some strange things have been happening Some JavaScript functions didn't work, history.back() - now working Sometimes the Title Bar on a site just displays the first letter of the Site Title.

I did find the folders you were talking about, but they are still missing in Explore/local disk C:/Windows/history, temp, temporary internet files, cookies and a My son's history folder is missing and some of the folders that were inside Windows/Temp , like Temporary Internet Folder, Cookies Folder, Content.

Missing History
I got a program called Delindex, which deletes the temporary internet folder, temp folder and other main folders in dos. which then in turn deletes the index.dat files (microsofts hidden files that they dont want you to find cause it stores your urls, even when you tick clear history). It's a very good cleaner,

If I've read others' posts correctly, these folders will be rebuilt automatically by IE when it starts and finds them missing... Good luck. I clicked the "Clear History" button from Tools - Internet Options menu. It did not work. I deleted all files in my Temporary Internet folder but it didn't work.
